Meet the Principal

Meet the Principal

Mrs. Verduzco has been with Victor Elementary School District since 2007 when she became a teacher at Mojave Vista and taught 6th grade. Her career in education began in 1997 when she became a 3rd grade teacher Snowline School District for 6 years. She also taught at Green Tree East as a 6th grade teacher for two years and kindergarten teacher for a year. Mr. Verduzco transitioned from the classroom to be a support specialist for two years with VESD, before becoming principal at Liberty in December of 2014. She says she enjoyed the coaching aspect of being a support specialist, but missed the personal relationships she would build with her students and families and she felt like she was being called back to a school site.

Mrs. Verduzco is from Apple Valley and attended Apple Valley High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Literature and a minor in Art History from University of California, Riverside and her Master’s degree in Arts and Education with an emphasis in Administration from Brandon University. She says one the things that gives her the most joy from working in education is having the opportunity to build relationships and trust, accomplish goals, create a positive memory of school for students, and to help students be successful throughout their paths.
